Chiropractic health care is a natural way to restore balance to the body through gentle adjustments of the spine. Treatments provide relief from pain, increased energy, and a sense of well-being without the use of drugs or surgery.

Each new patient receives a thorough orthopedic and neurological exam to determine which adjustive technique is most beneficial to the patient’s condition.

Gentle non-force techniques are used to relieve pain, increase function and restore vitality, including:

  • Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT):

Realignment of the pelvis using padded blocks in conjunction with identifying and releasing cranial and sacral trigger points.

  • Flexion-distraction (spinal decompression):

Gentle longitudinal traction of the lumbar spine.

  • Applied Kinesiology (AK):

A diagnostic technique which uses muscle testing and evaluations (such as the “cross-crawl”) to check and correct the body for hyper- and hypo- tonicity.

  • Muscle-Energy Techniques:

Non-traumatic isometric-like adjustment of cervical and lumbar spine which allows the patient to be in control of the force of the adjustment.

Diagnostic Resources

In addition to chiropractic treatments, Dr. Dalby provides neurological consultations and Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME/disability) exams. A wide range of highly qualified health care professionals is also available on a referral basis for blood tests, X-rays, CT scans, MRI exams and other diagnostic laboratory tests to provide comprehensive health evaluations.

Physiotherapy

Acupressure therapy, reflex work, and muscle stimulation are utilized to speed recovery and to facilitate adjustments. Manual and mechanical traction are used to improve functioning of the spine and nervous system.

Nutrition and Exercise Counseling

Specific programs for strengthening internal organs and the circulatory system and for toning muscles and ligaments enhance recovery, increase energy, and help maintain a feeling of health and well-being.
